Jill's First Swim

We went over to a friends house to swim on Thursday and Jill got in a pool for the first time. I held her some and the rest of the time she was in the boat. She LOVED it!

Here are all of the kids: Jane, Julie, Mary, Chloe, and Heidi and of course Jill in the boat (with the rabbit ears ;)

Gymnastics

Today was Jane's first day of gymnastics and I have no pictures to post (even though she looked absolutely adorable!) because there was nothing to take pictures of. Let me explain... we get there and the teacher is super cute and nice and sweet and Jane takes her hand along with the other four kids in her class as long as I hold her other hand and so I take her in but then when they go in to sit on the mat Jane doesn't want me to leave. When I show her the windows I will be sitting behind with Jill and tell her she can wave at me anytime she is finally okay with me "leaving". She turns to wave at me at least ten times in the first two minutes. She watches and half pretends like she is going to participate during stretch time but she just looks down. Then when it is time for the kids to get up and move to another part of the gym Jane just sits there. Her teacher talks to her and tries to get her to go with the other kids and she nods like she understands and then she just sits there. So the teacher moves on doing forward rolls with everyone else but Jane. I come in to talk to her and tell her to listen and do what her teacher asks and she says okay and I leave and she just sits there. I come in again, ask her if she wants to leave, she says no and she will do it and then she just sits there. I come in, pull her out, have her watch the other kids having fun. She says she wants to do it so I take her back and she just sits there. Finally, I come and get her and we left. I was SOOOOOO disappointed. I totally don't understand the shy thing. I never was shy and so I am trying REALLY hard to understand this but I see it as her being defiant. I just don't get it! Help!

Cousins!

My cousin Kerri, her husband JD and her cutie pie Kylie are staying with us this week! Jane and Kylie had a great time trying on shoes, playing dress up, playing in the bathtub, and having a slumber party! Kerri and I reminisced doing all of those same things together growing up and it was so awesome seeing our daughters do it now. The girls got along SOOO well! Great fun!

Jill's First Cereal!

Jill tried cereal for the first time today! It was mostly breastmilk but a little thicker. She LOVED it. She was grabbing for the spoon and wanted to hold it herself and was reaching for more, more, more. I have a sneaking suspicion that we won't have a hard time getting her to eat like her older counterpart.

Summertime!

Jane really enjoyed her Spring semester of school. She was very attached to her teacher, Miss Michelle. In the pic with her teacher she is sitting in what Miss Michelle calls "Jane's spot" because Jane tries to be as close to her teacher at all times.

It is officially summer!

Five Months!

I can't even believe my jillybean is five months old!! Here is a pic of her sitting up. She also is rolling over - which I will post a video of as soon as I catch it on film.

Memorial Day Weekend

On Sunday we went to our former neighbors new

house and had lunch. Jane swam in the pool with her bff Jennifer.

Jill had her suit on too but she didn't get in the water because it was a bit windy and cool.

On Memorial Day we met a bunch of friends at a local water park.

Jane had fun playing in the sand with her friends Julie and Jennifer.
