Jane's Photography Skills

Jay let Jane have a go with our nice camera and these are some of the pics she got. I just thought this was funny... You can see what she deems as important material!

Jay said she was holding the camera at her belly height and looking in through the top of it like you would see a real photographer do. I don't know where she got that idea from-pretty funny!

Friends over to play

Today my friend Rachel and her three girls (who Jane LOVES!) came over to play. The girls played with our little pool and played dress-up and had a really good time!

Chloe is dressed up as a ballerina.

Heidi is dressed up as a bride.

Julie is dress up as Belle and Jane is in a fairy costume. They were doing eachother's hair and make-up. Jackson and Jill got in on the fun too!

Library Clown

Today we went to the local library (which we do most weeks for story time) but today they had a clown from Ringling Brothers. Jane had never seen a clown before so she didn't know what to expect. When I told her we were going I think she was confused what a clown even was because she said, "Are we going to see a picture?" and I said no it is a real clown and she said, "Does he have feet?" LOL! I said, "Yes a clown is a person dressed in funny clothes and they do tricks." and she said what she says about 100 times a day, "Why?" I told her to make you laugh. So the whole way there she was talking about how she wasn't scared and she was going to laugh.

She did! Here are some pics....

Jane sat in the front row!

She was one of the very few kids brave enough to get her picture taken with the clown even though several parents tried.

When we left they gave all of the kids a free clown nose. Jane took no coaxing to put hers on. She loved it!

Pool Day

As many of you know I am having lasek done on Friday and will not be allowed to go in a pool for TWO WEEKS after the surgery. Since swimming is mine and Jane's favorite summer activity we are trying to get in as much pool time as possible. We were lucky enough to be invited by my friend Laura to go swimming at her neighborhood pool with her and her sister and their kids. Here are some pics of the day...

Here is Ben, Elizabeth and Cooper. See how nicely they all sat for a picture. Jane not so much but I did get this one of her...

Here is a pic with Laura and Jessica. Cute aren't they?

I always have to get a pic of what Jill is doing during all of this...

Actually before this I was holding her in the water and she was splashing and splashing. She LOVES the pool, well water in general. She is a true water baby from baths to pools. She also was taking a ride in the new boat she got from her Meemaw and she loved that too. She was just sitting in it smiling. But eventually she pooped out (literally! ha!) and she took a nice rest in her car seat, in the shade.

Laura- thanks for the invite. Hopefully we will be able to join you again in a few weeks.

Father's Day Weekend Part 2

Family Photos!

My dad thought it would be nice to get some family pictures taken for Father's Day. Below are some of the shots we got.

Our Family

My brother Stephen's family: Carson (10), Monica, Cameron (13), Stephen and the dogs: Holly and Dizzy.

My mom and Dad and brother, Preston (15)

Here's the whole family...

Father's Day Weekend Part 1

Janet (Jay's mom) and Jeff (Jay's brother) came in town for the weekend. We were so happy to have them and we had a great time. Here is a pic of Jane playing bubbles with her Meemaw. (Meemaw brought her a whole bag full of goodies!)
Jay and his brother Jeff played golf on Saturday while all of the girls did what we do best- went shopping at the mall!

At night Jane showed off her new gymnastics moves to her Meemaw and Uncle Jeff. She went and got on her leotard without telling anyone and came out to do tricks.
Jay and Jeff were coloring in some of the coloring books Meemaw brought for Jane. Later Uncle Jeff did some coloring with Jane too.

Here is Jane and her Meemaw. (Jane is saying "cheeeeese")

Uncle Jeff and Jillybean

Thank you for coming to visit us Meemaw and Uncle Jeff!

Jane's "Practice Party"

So we went over to our friend Andrea's house and had a BUNCH of friends over to play on Jane's new waterslide. It turned into a "practice birthday party" for Jane since a lot of the kids are going to be out of town for Jane's actual birthday.

The kids had pizza. This is Jane, Julie, Aspen and Natalie (all the three- year olds). Well actually Clarke is three too and he isn't in this pic.

Keeping with Jane's beach theme the kids did sand. Here is Julie, Clarke, Jane and you can almost see John E. playing sand.
Here is the waterslide we bought for Jane's party.

Jill got on the slide too ;)

I didn't want to post pics of all of the kids but thank you to: Jaden, Mitchell, Callie, Natalie, John E., Harrison, Blake, Clarke, Aspen, Chloe, Heidi, and Julie and also to their wonderful moms: Andrea, Katie and Rachel! Jane had a wonderful practice party!

Gymnastics Take 2

So gymnastics went WAY better this time around. We spent all week talking about it and getting ready for it and we went and got a special "princess leotard" to wear. Here is a pic of Jane before we left.
Then, when we got there another girl in the class had on an outfit a lot like Jane's so they talked about how they were "pinky twinkies" (the other girl's mom's phrase). Here she is going in with her teacher.
This time there were only three kids in the class (last time I think there were five) so that helped a lot- especially because the kids didn't have to wait as long for their turn.
Here is Jane on the balance beam. She was REALLY good. I know I am a little biased and all but seriously this girl is a natural!

At the end of class Jane got a stamp for being a good listener. I think they always get a stamp but the other two had a "talking to" before they got theirs. I was SO proud to watch Jane do so well and enjoy it. I guess she just need a week to "observe".
